Kid's club has
been designed to be great fun with Dharma stories, traditional Buddhist art work
and simple instruction on meditation.
Classes will be best for children
from 6-13 years old. Suggested donation £2 per child.
First Saturday
of the month, 12 - 1pm (see below for dates)
Meditation
In each lesson there
are two meditations which can help everyone develop peaceful contented minds.
In this mad hectic world children are expected to act like adults and take on
more responsibility without having the means to do so - this can lead to behaviour
problems at school or at home. Children can develop anxiety and stress which may
lead to issues like eating disorders, and difficulties with learning.
Meditation can help your child by: ~ Relaxing body and mind ~ Cultivating
inner peace ~ Dealing with challenges in a positive way ~ Improving relationships
Dharma for Kids
The Dharma stories are fun and entertaining
and give the children a chance to interact with the teacher, build friendship
and increase their understanding of Buddhism. These Buddhist stories will give
children correct guidelines on how to behave and help to make them into good citizens.
The classes are ideal whether you are a Buddhist or non Buddhist.
Parents
are asked to stay in the kitchen chatting and enjoying tea and biscuits, on hand
if needed.
